Relaxed Living Space

For this room, the client wanted to preserve the existing wall color and fireplace, so the design evolved around those anchor elements. We incorporated meaningful pieces already in her home—an antique desk and open shelving—to maintain a sense of familiarity and history. The true inspiration came from the vibrant lake artwork on the back wall, which set the tone for the palette and atmosphere. While the space is fully functional now, we intentionally left room to grow—making space for a future game table near the wood chair. This thoughtful approach allowed us to balance today’s needs with tomorrow’s plans, all while keeping the project budget-friendly after larger updates in another part of the home.
